Formation and Optical Characteristics of Tm,Yb-Codoped ZnO Nanowires Towards Improvement of Photovoltaic Conversion Efficiency Via Downconversion

We report the growth and optical characteristics of Tm,Yb-codoped ZnO (ZnO:Tm,Yb) films on nanowires (NWs). The conditions NWs are optimized by changing duration as well temperature VI/II ratio, which grown sapphire (0001) substrates. Photoluminescence (PL) characterization ZnO:Tm,Yb optimum is performed with excitation different lasers to investigate mechanism energy transfer between Tm3+ Yb3+ ions in films. Above-bandgap yields several sharp peaks from a broad luminescence band oxygen vacancies ZnO. PL intensity each peak can be controlled concentration ratio ions. This result due where takes place sample high Yb mixing reversed process occurs lower ratio. Direct at 488 nm results specific centers. Furthermore, time-resolved concentrations reveals change lifetime Tb3+ These suggest possible NWs.
